In the world’s largest copper mine in the Chilean mountains, mining is being moved underground. The 42 m deep shaft required for smoke extraction/ventilation is climbed in sections with a 3 m high steel formwork without a crane or additional equipment.
A challenge, high up in the mountains – yet deep down!
